To provide some transparency, every Bombay Hair product goes through extensive research and development before launch. During our testing, we trialed both zipper and envelope-style pillowcases. While zippers were more cost-effective due to using less mulberry silk, our team found that they often caused discomfort and irritation for participants. Over time, zippers also led to damage along the seams, reducing the overall lifespan of the pillowcase.

Ultimately, we chose the envelope style to prioritize long-term comfort and durability. That said, we take all customer feedback seriously and are actively exploring ways to improve the design — including the possibility of a zipper or an alternative solution to help reduce slippage without compromising comfort or quality.
